TMZ has removed graphic content from a video of 19-year-old Andre Lowe’s brutal murder from its site. The move comes after more than 200,000 people joined Jason's campaign and 25 brands including Chase, Toyota, and H&R Block removed their advertisements from the TMZ page under pressure from petition signers. Jason said: “TMZ’s sensationalistic coverage of a regular teenager’s tragic murder added salt to the wound for our family. At the same time, we appreciate the support that has poured in from people across the country. To all of you who've signed our petition, sent a heartfelt message or even shed a tear, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. While we're disappointed that TMZ ever made the decision to post this video and we still believe TMZ owes our family an apology for the pain they cause us, we're glad to see that the video has been edited due to the pressure from our petition on Change.org.”

TMZ has thoughtlessly and carelessly posted a video of my nephew, Andre Lowe, being shot to death outside a Hollywood nightclub. These people have no regard for the loved ones affected by this tragedy. I understand freedom of press but the line has to be drawn somewhere. Its very obvious that the media has no morals and nothing is off limits when it comes to gaining ratings. What they did is wrong and they need to be held accountable. No one wants to see their loved one in this position, having this event viewed by millions of strangers is disgusting. This video needs to be removed and an apology issued  to the family and friends.
