The lawsuit recently brought about by a John and Jane Doe pertaining to the Tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Ct unjustly represents the community as a whole. The citizens of the great state of Connecticut have gone through so much and the suffering needs to stop. This action to sue the state for $100 million in the name of a 6-year-old child will only bring monetary benefit to one family while scarring a community that has done everything in their power to aid the victims. The Newtown board of Education, town police, state police, EMT's, Firemen, town officials, teachers, parents and students were nothing less than spectacular throughout this heinous event. This is NOT how our judicial system was meant to work. We are to be judged by a jury of our peers, well this is our Jury.
J. Paul Vance Jr., Connecticut State Claims Commissioner
