Hawai'i Governor Neil Abercrombie MUST appoint local Hawai'i farmer, job creator and former Presidential candiate Roseanne Barr to the United States Senate to succeed the late Senator Daniel Inouye. Roseanne Barr is a proven champion for the rights of women, gays, immigrants, minorities and the American worker. In the U.S. Senate, she will fight for job creation, human rights, as well as criminal and economic justice. Roseanne is also well known for her advocacy in support of animals, a safe, sustainable food supply and access to affordable education and health care for all.  Throughout her career, Roseanne Barr has demonstrated the leadership skills needed to represent the State of Hawai'i as its next United States Senator.

If Ms. Barr wishes to be a Senator, with all of her life experiences and knowledge of Hawai'i, I think she should be appointed. She definitely would have name recognition and I think the people of Hawai'i could relate to her. She's not Daniel Inouye, no, and no one could be like him -- but she could be a reliable Democratic Senator from Hawai'i for years who understands the issues and cares about the people of Hawai'i and the United States. And because she has more financial wherewithal than most people, she probably won't have the problems holding on to her seat that other Senators would after only two short years in office.
