UPDATE: (from Change.org) The original comments below were part of a satirical blog post by Imagine 2050, a blog that was shocked by the Senator's outrageous comments blaming immigrants for supposedly starting the wildfires in Arizona, despite there being no evidence to support this. Please sign the petition demanding an apology for those very real and very damaging comments.

Original Petition:

"If this country wants to believe that you have an education fine with me! Send proof of your education to my office. It seems like you didn't learn Geography, History or Social Studies effectively in our school system. That WE guarantee!!!"~ K. Pabon

Your latest comments as depicted by Dan Weiss in his June 21,2011 article: “there is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by people who have crossed our border illegally,” happen to be uneducated, inflamatory, unfounded, and racist!!!

We demand that you publicly retract from them immediately.

Dude, PR has been a colony of the United States since 1898, further more We are United States of America Citizens by Birth Right, Also we have fought side by side on major conficts and world wars FYI. Here is a little bit of KNOWLEDGE for you PR is only 100 Miles by 35 miles and we have had more service member than any other State bigger than us. To us serving in the arm forces is something of tradition and honor not unlike most people born in the 48 continuous states they see it as a scholarship or part time until something better comes along. Dude get your facts right before you speak

That is why your own people breaked the rules and elected Obama as President of the E.U. I thanks God for that every day. Puertorrican history shows how many years had pass since the first common american steal our island. We did not pray for you to come. It means that racist and poor minds as yours, has had enough time to realize that we are, and still being an unchangeable nation with our own language, culture and more. Don't you think? JJ Barea is a icon of that you like it or not.

Sen.McCaine must be reprimended, detituted, sue, fined and put in jail for the rest of his life. His comment on JJBerea were racist, infamatory and discriminatory! That is against the LAW of this land that we Puertorican Soldiers have defended. If he is going senile or suffers demency let me remind him that after the Spanish-American war 1898 The U.S.Congress Granted all Puertoricans the U.S.Citizenship.No one should be above the law and he must pay now for his offense.NO

POLitician should hold a job in this country who is racist and make such discriminatory statements. He's a shame for all citizens of the world!!!!!!
