Push back the opening of Best Buy retail stores on Black Friday to 5am

      Tampa, FL

A midnight opening robs the hourly and in-store salary workers of time off with their families on Thanksgiving Day.  By opening the doors at midnight, Best Buy is requiring team members to be in the store late on Thanksgiving Day. A full holiday with family is not just for the elite of this nation -- all Americans should be able to break bread with loved ones and get a good night's rest on Thanksgiving!

Join me in calling Best Buy retail stores to push back their original opening time of 5am on Black Friday.

I do not speak on behalf of the group. The reason people are signing this may differ from anything I have stated, the fact remains that the people are not happy.

Thank you to Anthony Hardwick for allowing me to use is wording. He started the Target petition.

      Supporters,

Now that the holiday season has concluded for retail employees and their loved ones, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for being involved in the petition to help keep the holidays sacred.
Many have asked if the efforts had any effects and if I incurred any negative consequences. To answer latter; I am still gainfully employed and love my work more than ever. Your efforts did not go unnoticed, gaining national attention. The people that matter heard all SIXTEEN THOUSAND of you!
We will find out next year if the market will return to its rightful time. No matter what happens, when that decision is being made; I assure you this movement will have some weight in their decision.

      Thank you all,
      Rick Melaragni

The more supporters we can get the quicker we will multiply. Understand this petition will likely change nothing. It is important they understand this type of money way above ethics and values action is not acceptable and we will voice our selfs. Also know I speak for no one who signed the petition. My opinion is just one of many our great employees.
I am in need of help spreading the word. Please if you want to get more involved let me know.
      PEOPLE FIRST!

I support the cause, but Brian Dunn has not been CEO for some time, you should probably edit that
