To prosecute and let Mrs. Leslie Maxwell of Alder Hill Farm 501.C.3 it is not OK to let her personal horse suffer for months with no vet care while she was off going to the gym and getting her nails done being a lawyer and a code 3 investigator for the state that helped seize other animals while neglecting her own. That the "Good Ole Boys" will not sweep this under the rug.

For get me not rescue has been able to remove horses. She has refused everyone but them. Let's just hope they can remove them all and get them safe before they decline any more.

There 58 horses as of the other day. How the number went up is anyones guess being we were told horses have already been adopted.. Current pictures show some horses are declining fast. Most likely the low men on the ladder.. We need actions please re-share. Thank you

The State Humane Society took out 100 square bales of hay to the horses. Leslie has now agreed to work with another rescue to let them help place the remaining 50 or so horses into new homes. The State HS has given a 3 week time frame for this. Keep those signatures going!!!

People like this, educated, arrogant need to get the message that they are not above the LAW. She is an attorney, not ignorant who chose to ignore the LAWS of the State she lives in. I say prosecute her with the harshest penalty there is under the law. May she rot in hell, and get fined!

A few years back I had contacted Alder Hill Farm to help me rescue a extremely healthy and sound 5 yr Cryptorchid BLM Mustang that was in a rough situation. Their trainer Scott was suppose to keep me in contact with his well being as well as his training progress.Any efforts to check on "Cowboy" was like pulling teeth.Scott had failed to keep to his promise as had Leslie Maxwell. When her "rescue" got shut down and all animals were seized I was sickened to see what they did to Willie aka Cowboy. They never gave him the vet care he needed to remove his testical that did not drop.Cowboy was once healthy and sound cryptorchid.(I have photo's of his entire upkeep since he was adopted from the BLM By the original adoptee.Than photo's from his second owner-one who stepped in to better "willy's" condition) Also,I have photo's of the day Leslie and Scott showed to take 'Willy" aka Cowboy back to their farm. They show what fantastic condition he was in. When I seen him after they got shut down..It was so disgusting.I had a hard time recognizing Willy period.

I am beyond pissed off about this situation. I sent donations from time to time to this rescue when they were actually doing some good work. How this woman could let her personal life take precedence over the care of the animals she was responsible for is utterly beyond me. She is a fraud and a crook.

This person ran a "rescue" to which I sent what little money I could. It appears that while "rescuing" horses from abusive owners, she abused and/or neglected her own horses, and even bred horses thus adding to the problem. It also appears that she maligned some people that she hired to run the rescue, accusing them of miss using funds when it looks like she was the person who didn't let the donated funds go to benefit the horses. If this is the case, it's the type of situation that makes people distrust rescues and thus withhold much-needed donations from legitimate rescues. If what appears to be the case here is true, the owner needs to be prosecuted to show that the state and county do not condone this behavior and as a warning to others who would attempt what appears to have been done in this case.
