The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to waive off the application fee associated with a RTI(Right to Information) application. There is in principle agreement on the issue and all the concerned departments have agreed to it. The file is now stuck with the Chief Minister's office (CMO) for the past few months. We request the CM to approve the file immediately. This will make AP the first state in the country to completely waive off the application fee. This move has the potential to inspire other states to do the same and make the process of filing RTI applications much more simpler.
