Forbid the airing of a graphic anti-choice ad during the Super Bowl

    1. Petition by

      Carl Gibson

Radical anti-choice leader Randall Terry, of Operation Rescue, the man who cheered the murder of abortion doctor George Tiller the same day he was shot in his own church, is attempting to air ads for his presidential candidacy in 40 states during the Super Bowl, featuring bloody, aborted fetuses. Laws in these states mandate the showing of every political advertisement within 45 days of a primary election, so NBC stations will have no choice but to show the ad.

Tell FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski: Randall Terry must be prevented from hijacking our airwaves with gruesome ads and exploitation of pregnant women to promote his hate-filled agenda. Such a tasteless attempt to insert extremist views into the unsuspecting eyes of millions of Americans during what is normally the country's most-watched sporting event should be stopped.

The ad violates the Federal Communication Commission's rules against airing inappropriate content between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. If this ad is allowed to air, I will be filing a complaint against every station that airs it. Children should not be subjected to these graphic images.

I'm PRO-CHOICE. I'm a woman and its MY CHOICE. It is another woman's CHOICE. There's no need to put out a most-likely extreme biased view and BS on the airwaves.

WOW. Read this quote, from a pro-choice Christian author Gerry Beauchemin: "If pro-life Christians truly believe what their churches teach about hell, what motivates them to fight abortion? What is the better strategy to get the most people into heaven evangelism or abortion? Well, most Christians would say abortion has a 100 percent success rate; pretty hard to beat, don't you think? Remember Andrea Yates, who drowned her five children? She was captivated with Michael Woroniecki's preaching that bad children [go] to hell. Was she really insane? Maybe she was simply a loving mother who wanted to spare her children an unimaginable and horrendous fate."
