Tell Republicans: Don't Cut Medicaid, It's Vital

    1. Sponsored by

      Families USA

In just a few short weeks, Republicans in Congress will release their proposed budget, and they've been clear on what it will contain: tax breaks for giant corporations and major cuts to health care programs like Medicaid.

But what Republican leaders don't seem to realize is that Medicaid isn't just a line item in the budget, it's a vital lifeline for seniors, kids, families, and workers. So maybe that's the problem: Maybe when Republican leaders talk about cutting Medicaid, they just don't understand what Medicaid is.

You can help them understand. Sign this petition to tell Republicans in Congress that Medicaid is vital. Make sure they understand that when they talk about cuts to Medicaid, they're talking about cuts that will hurt American families.

The government's role is to protect and serve its citizens. Stop listening to the lobbyists and do your job!

This is part of my fight too. But this fact affects so many people with serious illnesses. We need to start over with the whole insurance system and get the people who are truly affected involved in the creation instead of just the elected officials who actually have no idea!

Everyone should be healthy. And denying access to preventative care is wasteful and morally criminal.
