Tell Congress To Champion A Strong U.S. – UN Relationship

    1. Sponsored by

      Better World Campaign

More than 8 in 10 American voters -- 86 percent -- say it is important for the U.S. to maintain an active role in the United Nations. Tell Congress—both its 94 new members and those members who still have not gotten the message—to join the overwhelming majority of Americans and champion a strong U.S. – UN relationship.

Recent bipartisan polling data provides a clear picture of American priorities on international affairs.

The bipartisan polling found:

o Some 8 in 10 U.S. voters believe that it is in America’s best interest to continue to actively support the United Nations.
o More than two-thirds say the United Nations supports Americas’ goals and objectives around the world.
o More than two-thirds favor the U.S. paying our dues to the UN on time and in full.

Our latest poll is proof that Americans like YOU support the UN.

Americans’ priority issues are the ones that the United Nations addresses directly on a daily basis. From promoting sustainable development and poverty reduction through the Millennium Development Goals, to aiding troop withdrawals in Afghanistan by disarming rebel groups, strengthening judicial systems and training police forces, the UN is directly supporting American objectives.

Tell Congress to champion a strong U.S.–UN relationship and to stand with 86% of Americans by signing this petition.

We are part of the world and should follow world rules. The rest of the world is tired of us going rogue.
