This affects the ecology of our planet, it affects the ecosystem of the habitat in Alaska as well as the deterring of rodents in Alaska, otherwise it could become a problem. Wolves have been a part of American history since the Native Americans have lived here and have been featured in movies because it is an iconic and sacred animal.

Letter after letter appealed to the Alaska Board of Game to not allow aerial shooting of wolves in its 2012 proposals. Some 369 people are logged on as testifying in letters, and finding those addressing the Kenai hunting unit proposals isn’t that difficult amongst the many comments citizens wanted to make on other proposals before the board. All told on the wolf matter, it is a lot of impassioned pleas, begging and hand-wringing set down in the public record.
The complete list of comments for all of the 2012 BOG actions comes to 852 pages. The letter from Defenders of Wildlife was 22 pages long. Homer and Kenai Peninsula residents are among them. Page after page of reasoning with the board. . . The only way to change this is to continue to be vocal at BOG proceedings, lobby your legislators, who delegate wildlife management decisions to the board, and be vocal when board members are up for appointment.

They have done nothing wrong and have only tried to survive in this cruel world. These creatures are true born leaders and yes they are very protective but they are also very loyal to their pack. They care about their family and will not hurt anyone unless they are threatened. These wolves are very organized, are great team players and know how to survive in hard situations. They are incredibly intelligent and what makes me sad is that they are on the border line of becoming extinct and people still hunt them today.
