A beautiful low impact ecologically friendly hand-built house is to be destroyed because of planning rules. "The appeal by Megan Williams was dismissed because the 'benefits of the development did not outweigh the harm to the character and appearance of the countryside'." We disagree strongly.

More homes should be built like this. It is a PERFECT example of HEALTHY, sustainable, beautiful & affordable architecture. I fell in Love with it when I saw it many years ago on the internet. It would be CRIMINAL to destroy it.

I do not think that there was any harm to the character and appearance of the countryside, by the construction of this property. I know of other developments that have been approved, because they do not "harm the character and appearance of the countryside" - despite being overpowering, over developments. There is no consistency to what is approved or not, WHY ??

we need to support ingenuity and creativity in respect to finding sustainable housing. ~nd the house is beautiful and is in no way a blight on the countryside.

Because I don't think the government should make people compete with banks for property rights and hobbit houses! Save the Hobbit House and can anyone tell me how to get to Narnia?

I read an article about this and the premises of why these people are losing their home is deplorable.
