Keep Joy's murderer, Ernest "Todd" Botelho, in prison

    1. Petition by

      Friends of Joy Buttrey

      Germantown, MD

Please sign this petition to honor your memory of our beloved Joy D. Buttrey.  Joy was a loving, generous, wonderful young woman who was murdered in her home by Ernest "Todd" Botelho in May 2006.  He is now eligible for a parole hearing.  We need your signature on this petition asking the Maryland Parole Commissioners to deny parole--six years isn't justice, it's a joke.

You have a voice and signing this petition makes a difference. This petition and the e-signatures will be presented to the Maryland Parole Commission and will be taken into consideration when determining whether to grant Ernest "Todd" Botelho's request for parole on June 1, 2012.

Please help us to insure that this violent criminal serves his entire sentence--not just six years.  Sign this online petition before Monday, May 15th and help us demonstrate to the Parole Commission that Joy's friends love and miss her, and that we want her killer to serve his entire sentence.

Thank you for your support.  If you have any questions, send them to friendsofjoybuttrey@gmail.com.

I just signed the following petition addressed to Friends of Joy Buttrey.

I request that the Maryland Parole Commission deny parole to Joy D. Buttrey's murderer, Ernest "Todd" Botelho (ADC#341020). Ernest "Todd" Botelho is a danger to society and, therefore, should not be released from prison.

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

He should never be able to live outside of the prison system EVER again! Joy's friends and family will NEVER be able to see her again - and HE should NEVER be able to see his family or friends EVER again unless it is with glass between them!

We fought for Joy on tuesday, we told the parole comissioner that we demand justice for Joy, that she was stolen from us to soon and that we love her and miss her! Lets keep the signatures coming and our fingers crossed for justice!

Even the full term of 10 years is not enough! How is it that a killer gets such a lenient sentence? This was clearly an intentional, vicious act. Someone who is capable of such violence is a threat to society and can likely never be "reformed". I hope he stays in prison for as long as possible. Even forever wouldn't be long enough!

I went to school with Joy's Aunt Joan. I remember the sweet stories Joan told of her little niece. Her life was ended too soon.

Becuase a murderer should not be allowed to live freely.
