Nicolas Elizonda is a convicted sex offender who served time for molesting a child under the age of fourteen. Recently he started fighting for custody rights for his daughter Sarah who has been living with her mother Lisa Knight. Judge Howard Haralson of Oklahoma ruled that he get sole custody of Sarah. This little girl is about to be placed under the guardianship of a convicted pedophile. This ruling is monstrous and cannot stand.

Judge Howard Haralson, Oklahoma County Special Judge
Oklahoma Governor
President of the United States
Gov. Mary Fallin, Oklahoma-05
Repeal the decision to award Elizondo custody of his child.

Too many children are being abused at the judges hands. Bad decisions, lack of common sense.

Child's best interest point of reference; mandatory considerations: The Code makes clear that custody and visitation determinations are to be made from the standpoint of the child's best interest (consistent with California Family Code Section 3020 policies...

In making the "best interest" determination, the court cn consider any "relevant" factors... Child's Health, Safety, and Welfare...

Certain violent crimes restrict custody or unconditional visitation awards:

Child abuse conviction, registered sex offender or living with registered sex offender: Unless the court finds there is "no significant risk to the child" and states its reason fro its findings in writing or on the record, neither custody nor unsupervised visitation may be awarded to a parent or any other person who (Fam.C. Sect.3030(a): (1) has been convicted of specified child abuse offenses (Pen.C. Sect. 273a... (2) is required to be registered as a sex offender under Pen.C.Sect.290 where the victim was a minor (Fam.C. 3030(a)(1)...

"Significant risk" presumed based on unsupervised contact with registered sex offender: The fact a child is permitted unsupervised contact with "a person" required to register as a sex offender under Pen.C.Sect.290 by reason of a felony conviction where the victim was a minor "shall be prima facie evidence that the child is at significant risk"...

This happens throughout the country. Children are used by the State to generate revenue. The judge here and most, if not all, have no concern for the children. The Family Courts say that "it is in the best interest of the children". IT IS NOT! It is inthe best interest of the States. Lookup Title IV-D ( read the payments and incentives to the States for collecting child support. Now think about this. The father probably doesn't have a job, therefore, the mother makes more money. The State cannot collect child support from the mother because she has the child. So, for the State to collect child support, the court has to give the child to the father who have no money and make the mother pay child support. Also, the State does not have to give the father welfare because your child support will pay for the father's welfare. Also, in the mother's child support, medi-cal expenses is already factored in, welfare insurance to the father and child. PEOPLE, let us bond together to repeal Title IV-D. This is making our children 'Hostage of the States" - just like my son.
