Victory

Will is safely at home in Burlington now. We received well over 450 signatures in less than a week and we got noticed in less than a day... Thank you Change.org for your wonderful organization and your customer service is top notch. Namaste Brenda

We need your help to get Will home. Will Prenger is currently under the care of a Brampton hospital and has been given very few weeks to live and just wants to come home to Burlington. Diagnosed with Linitis plastica - a form of stomach cancer in early 2012, he has undergone 4 surgeries, overcome multiple complications and managed to get through chemotherapy over the last year, but it looks like Will's biggest challenge lies ahead and who would have ever thought that challenge would be trying to get transferred to his homebase hospital who has the equipment and facility to care for him during his final moments. All Will wants is to be moved to Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, the hospital where he was born and the hospital which is 15 minutes from his home so he can be near his family and friends. Ask yourself, if this was your husband, father, son, brother or husband, what would you do?
Please sign our petition and Bring Will Home...

We also encourage you share with all your twitter, facebook and email contacts.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Encouraging news everyone, just heard 5 minutes ago that an ambulance had officially been ordered for Wills transfer tomorrow... Thank you all for your love and support... Our voices were heard!

    2. Update #3: Bring Will Home

We are starting to see the effects of our petition. 1) JBMH has been in talks with Will and Monique and it looks as though they are planning on moving Will on Tuesday April 30th. 2) Jane McKenna our MPP for Burlington also Tweeted last night - stating that she had spoke with the Manager of Patient Relations at JBMH and was told Will is being moved on Tuesday.
Although this is encouraging news we feel we need to continue to collect signatures in case JBMH doesn't hold up their end of the bargain. Nothing is set in stone yet! We will keep you posted with any details as they become available. Most likely we won't hear anything until Monday (when Brampton hospital suspects they will get the work order to accommodate the transfer). Until then we need to keep the momentum going, continue to share with all your contacts. Thank you again for all your love and support and for those directly affected by this, may you have peace, love and harmony in your hearts.Share your latest developme

    3. Update #2: Bring Will Home

Good Morning everyone. We reached another milestone lastnight, receiving over 250 signatures on our petition. Will and Monique are so truly grateful for all your support and love. We ask that you PLEASE continue the fight and ask your friends, neighbours, co-workers to sign our petition. We are already making a difference, JBMH is now talking with Will and Monique, so that's a positive sign but the race isn't over yet. We need everyone's support. We are doing great but we must keep the momentum going. How do we do that, we resend to all our contacts, remind everyone we possibly know and we send our prayers, energy and love Will's way to Bring Will Home. We can make a difference together! B

    5. Update: Bring Will Home

Just spoke with Monique and the pressure has been felt. She just got off the phone with head of Patient Relations (the woman whom the petition was sent too originally) and she asked Monique if we could kindly remove her name from the petition. She said "Do you realize I have gotten over 150 emails in my inbox about Bring Will Home just today?", so it has seemed to have worked. Monique is honoring the staff members request as she has assured Monique top priority has been given to this situation. So for now I have removed the email and name of the Patient Relations manager and added mine to keep the petition active. It will serve two purposes, Will can see all the support and love he has and secondly if we need to reinstate our fight it's still active. Thank you to all who supported this petition. We can make a difference if we all work together! B
