The food we eat is killing us - because it lacks the proper nutrition. This year alone over 2 million people will die as a result of being obese and over 2 million children will die from undernutrition.

That’s just insane.

In just a matter of weeks, world leaders are meeting and we have the chance to make a difference. Let’s make sure they don’t just talk, but they act.

It’s time for a food revolution. It’s time to save millions of lives.

To:
World Leaders
Help 25 million children reach their full potential by making measurable commitments to reduce chronic malnutrition by 2016.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

I believe that food should not be on the commodities market. people should not have to pay high prices for food because last year someone bet on its price rising this year. take exorbitant profits for middlemen out of the equation. I challenge the leaders at G8 to find an equitable system for food pricing and distribution.

Because obesity and under nutrition is a global problem. It's a health risk to us all, whether we're in London or Lesotho. It's not about just making sure people can fill their bellies, that's a common misunderstanding when I talk to my friends about this issue. It's about knowing what to eat and what to avoid, and having access to the right food to ensure we're able to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
