Help Fight Childhood Hunger This Summer

Help Fight Childhood Hunger This Summer

    1. Sponsored by

      Feeding America

According to the USDA, more than 16 million children in the U.S. suffer from food insecurity.

And during the summer months, this problem is even worse.

Feeding America has found that 62 percent of client households with children reported participating in the National School Lunch Program, but only 14 percent reported having a child participate in a summer feeding program that provides free food when school is out.

For millions of kids, summer vacation means three months without the subsidized school lunches and breakfasts they’ve come to depend on as a primary source of nutritious, stable meals. Without those balanced meals, kids may not have the energy to do what kids should do over the summer – play with their friends, have fun, and just be kids.

Join us today and pledge to help fight childhood hunger.

I pledge to help fight childhood hunger today.

This is a much better reason to say: "No child let behind"! It should be a community issue>
