Victory

Good news: after you and 3,000 others took action to protest the outrageous candidacy of genocidal Sudan for the U.N. Human Rights Council, and after film star and human rights activist Mia Farrow led an appeal by 30 human right groups organized by UN Watch, the Khartoum regime has just announced they are pulling out of the race. The role of our campaign in achieving this victory -- including the legal, diplomatic and media offensive described at http://www.unwatch.org/StopSudan?utm_source=supporter_message&utm_medium=email -- was reported by Foreign Policy Magazine and by the Associated Press. Thanks to you, a regime wanted for genocide will be barred from a position of power and influence on global decisions affecting human rights.

Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir is a racist dictator wanted for genocide by the International Criminal Court. When it votes on Nov. 12th, the U.N. must not legitimize this murderous regime and its crimes against humanity. Click here for details (www.unwatch.org/StopSudan)

Responsible for the treacherous attrocities against human beings, the Sudanese Government has absolutely no place at the table of the UN Human Rights Council.

Is Omar al-Bashir wanted for genocide by the International Criminal Court the kind of person for a Human Rights Council?
