Voices for Public Transit

Voices for Public Transit

Voices for Public Transit is a nationwide citizens movement dedicated to supporting public transportation today and for the future. Public transportation benefits all of us—even those who do not ride. Voices for Public Transit is built on the understanding that affordable, reliable public transit is vital to communities around the nation. Public transportation connects people to jobs, education, recreational activities, shopping, medical care, and more. Public transit also reduces air pollution, eases traffic congestion, and makes communities more livable. Our movement includes public transit supporters from all around the nation—urban, suburban, small town, and rural. Public transit plays an increasingly important role in communities of every size. We want to ensure that public transportation receives the investment it needs to keep America moving. Voices for Public Transit is supported by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and the National Alliance for Public Transit Advocates (NAPTA).
