Take the dogs out of the Wi Wolf hunt...NO HOUNDING!

    1. Petition by

      friends of the Wi wolf

Wolf hunting with dogs leads to dog/wolf fights. The result is brutal conflict with injuries and death to dogs. This is legalized dog fighting in Wi. These dogs do not have a choice. They are NOT necessary for a wolf hunt. The wolf hunt is already legal in We per law, as are the dogs, but there are no rules yet for the dogs. My hope is with enough signatures they will rethink the issue of putting dogs into this cruel fight with wolves.

Any hunting with dogs is cruel, wolves are the ancestors of our dogs, they are beautiful animals, anyone can see a dog in a wolf's face. Where would we be without seeing eye dogs, rescue & working dogs, companionship dogs. Don't forget their ancestors, please protect and save them!

I am a dog trainer and using dogs to hunt wolves is nothing more than teaching a dog to fight other dogs. It is inhumane.

because I own 2 high percentage wolfdogs an have been studying them for over 35 yrs and no how they react when seeing another k-9 on their turf means war and they will fight to the death defending their pack, territory an anything they believe to be theirs. and no animal deserves that kind of disrespect and ending especially not the wolf. I think they truly no more what it means to b family then humans do.

I have no problem with ethical hunters who use/eat what they kill but have cannot abide yahoos who merely kill for the pleasure of killing. Now these people want to use dogs for this "sport." This is inhumane for the wolves as well as the many dogs that will be killed or maimed and abandoned when they have served their purpose. Unethical breeders will supply these people with dogs purely for profit and not to maintain breed standards. Kill wolves with guns if they threaten livestock or there is an overpopulation but DO NOT hunt wolves with dogs.
