Expand Investments in Early Learning for Infants and Toddlers

    1. Sponsored by

ZERO TO THREE: National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families

Without the chance to participate in high-quality early childhood programs like child care, Early Head Start, early intervention, and home visiting, gaps can appear early, sometimes even before a child's first birthday. That means that by the time some children reach preschool, they are already playing catch-up.

For babies like Rodney, who has developmental delays and parents who are low-income despite working two jobs, quality early learning opportunities will make all the difference. We want elected officials to expand investments in early learning for infants and toddlers, so all young children start school ready to learn.

You can lend your voice by signing this petition and joining our virtual Rally4Babies on July 8th. And remember: to ensure school success, start with the babies.

To:
President of the United States
U.S. Senate
U.S. House of Representatives
As your constituent, I am asking you to expand investments in early learning opportunities for infants and toddlers - because learning and development happen right from the start.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

Interventions early on have amazing results that reduce costs to the community while increasing positive outcomes and potential for children in the future. This service is a proven and effective program.

As a speech language pathologist working with children who are birth to three years old I see first hand the positive outcomes of early intervention! These are the most crucial year for brain development and it seems silly to no invest more of our efforts in getting good education started early.

I work in this setting everyday and I can attest that investing in these families and coaching them to continue to work with their children on a daily basis does pay off!
