The Governor's plan is to pull the current residents out of NORCE in Enid. This is a facility for mentally and physically challenged citizens. Then place these individuals into small community-based houses in towns around the state. Traumatic at best, unneeded anxiety with our people. Many of which have been at NORCE for 30 years or more.

These 108 residents, must have 24 hour care with a presence of a varity of agencies, from Physical Therapy to Speech therapy, Doctors and Dentists, available to them constantly. The cost of these services will be extremely expensive to the state in case workers alone.

The residents of NORCE live under good supervision and have all they need for quality of life, under one roof. They even have a small hospital. We parents and guardians feel very strongly that removing our loved ones will leave them even more vulnerable and exposed to the outside world. This is an inhumane injustice that cannot be allowed to happen. I'm writing to give voice to my daughter, Samantha Randall who will be 47 in September.
Thank you for signing this petition for her.

We can only hope the Governor realizes our children should not be moved from NORCE. The Oklahoman, a few days ago it discussed the fact that Mary Fallin is seeking 16 Million for Mental Health. My feeling is we need to update NORCE bring it back to full capacity rehabilitating the mentally ill. Our waiting lists are long their needs are many if they are scattered all over the state logic tells you it's a daunting task. One facility under one roof where we can give them proper testing and rehabilitation as well as agencies for their individual needs.

Oh you wonderful supporters, we need at least 60,000 signatures to make this happen for all our residents at NORCE. We can do this, for once we can get justice for our handicapped citizens . We voters must bring our society back to it's humane and thoughtful self. What's happened to the people who care about people rather than business or politics? The Oklahoma I was raised in didn't let people become a number to move about without thought or caring.

NORCE is a wonderful asset to Enid. The people who live there are well cared for and happy. Those employed there who I have encountered are caring and kind.

Mentally and physically challenged people have special needs. It is our job to take care of our people. Where else can these people go? Time and time again I've seen this state, not just Governor Fallin, pull funding for mental health facilities. Such a sad thing to do in the midst of such a great need.

I am sick and tired of Queen Mary Failin cutting services to our most vulnerable groups. First it was that school kids don't count, won't use bond or tax money to build tornado shelters in schools. Then she wants to keep same sex couples from enjoying national guard benefits. Now she wants to keep mentally ill people from getting consistent and centralized help and scatter them to the winds. She wants to save money (except when it comes to the Royal Governor Mansion). Typical Reddest of the Red State Republican. Her face will be red when she loses the election!

it is so important that we improve the services for those with mental health problems..I think we have seen a tread on what happens when they don't received the proper services.
