Tell President Barack Obama to Keep the Promise on AIDS!

    1. Sponsored by

      AIDS Healthcare Foundation

President Barack Obama is set to go down in history as the first U.S. President to cut the country's commitment to fighting AIDS.

The President’s 2013 budget includes $220 million in funding cuts to fight global AIDS -- an amount equal to a loss of care for 640,000 people living with HIV/AIDS for one year. U.S. funding cuts have led to the closure of two HIV/AIDS treatment centers in South Africa, and the Obama Administration has projected a 79% cut in global AIDS funding for hard-hit Ethiopia. This is shameful.

These budget cuts mean death for people living with HIV/AIDS. Join AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, and call on Obama to stop these shameful cuts and make fighting for people with HIV/AIDS his legacy.

Take action and send a message to the President: Budget Cuts = Death.

Many advocates from across the globe were disappointed to learn that President Obama was not in attendance at the 2012 XIX International AIDS Conference in Washington D.C.-the first time that the conference was held in the U.S. in twenty years.

It is important to me, because Health Care is a Human Right, I provide care to individuals living with HIV and AIDS and actively advocate for all of them. that's why I know how bad the disease can go, people will die if Obama cut the budget, Why stop now? The fund is need it to makes a difference between death and life, to fight the virus and to avoid an epidemic.
