Pet Store "breeders" are actually millers and other large-scale dog producers whose main concerns are merely to pump out as many dogs of different breeds in as short a period of time as possible. The Dog Houses' stock demands are so high they need the millers who pump out hundreds of puppies of many different breeds annually. The Dog House is also able to enjoy the convenience of purchasing all their animals from one source. Why is this important to me? My puppy, Sampson, purchased at, The Dog House, came from a puppy mill. His breeder in one year sold almost 400 puppies; thus overbreeding and inbreeding in dogs. This breeder had numerous citations from failed inspections, and at one time had 87 puppies on their property. The Dog House has received medical complaints about puppies supplied by this breeder in the past. My Sampson was going to grow with my children ages 2 & 7. My Sampson has taken two obedience courses and had a personal trainer to one day become a therapy dog. My Sampson has only one kidney and it is enlarged not functioning properly. My Sampson doesn't have a voice. However you do.

I am not pleased to announce that the only help with Sampson's medical costs from The Dog House, was only $500.00. The minimum amount required by law. Clearly this speaks volumes, we have endured close to $7,000.00 in medical costs for Sampson, and they have seen all invoices.
I have requested from the USDA all complaints received in regards to The Dog House, since opening. This information is free, Freedom of Information Act. Please continue to share this petition, we thank you.

It was quite an ordeal to keep this "little" pup from jumping. However, after 10 days his post-op check was excellent.

Not only will this petition raise awareness, but I will also push for reform on the statutes of pet shop regulations. "Exam" will be defined and "licensed breeder" will be only for AKC Breeders, not puppy mills.

    11. Update on Sampson's visit to Tuft's

Sampson will be admitted to Tufts, Sunday, for several days, they will be conducting a nucleur medicine study to see if his Kidney is doing anything at all, the following day he will be sedated again and they will take a sample of his kidney tissue and urine straight from the kidney for culture. I will have a prognosis after this testing when I pick him up, and plan to NOT do any further invasive procedures.

We need to be a "humane" society because we can and the alternative is further degradation.

because they over breed these dogs, and there are so many dogs at the animal shelters that need homes,
