In anticipation of the Democratic National Convention, the City of Charlotte, NC is considering the enactment of city ordinances that would prohibit the occupation of public property of any kind. It would also ban any "noxious" substances, as well as the ability to block streets in protest, and any items that would be used to obstruct. This is an infringement upon the right to assemble peacefully. Please protest these ordinances! Charlotte is a city that that hosts many big bank headquarters, which are large targets of the Occupy Movement. Do not let the City of Charlotte make our protest of big banks and corporate greed be impeded on a legal scale! Sign the petition!

I am an American who can no longer remain silent. It sickens me to see fellow citizens viciously attacked by police across this nation. You cannot use the filmiest of reasons to strip away people’s rights!!!!!

The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble. Our Founding Fathers must be turning in their graves as thousands of protesters are beaten, arrested and denied their rights!!!

You cannot evict democracy!!! The Occupy protesters will change the course of this nation.

Please make efforts to work with the Occupy Wall Street movement to uphold and set examples of America ideals, values and principles in the US Constitution, democracy, liberty, justice and equality and the UN Charter and ideals for which the US is a core member. And to maintain civil order rather than civil disorder, chaos or resentment. Overall, this is a peaceful and non-violence. Furthermore, the efforts would build empathy, understanding, collaboration and trust among people, communities and government to advance the common and greater good and well being of local communities and societies as well as the global community. These are also great opportunities for collective efforts to raise global consciousness and awareness to foster, promote and advance social and life essentials such as democracy, liberty, freedom, social equality/justice/harmony, understanding, empathy, collaboration, tolerance, inclusiveness, diversity, pluralism, universal human rights and dignity, the common and greater good and the essence of being and humanity. Please empathize and support:

Inspiration and dream for a better world and humanity

Evolution of conscience and emancipation of mind

      Aspiration of democracy and liberty

Passion to manifest and freedom for liberation

Essence of being and consciousness of humanity.

A collaboration between national mayors on how best to build collaboration, empathy, understanding and trust between people, communities and government; and to facilitate the occupy movement would certainly be a welcome initiative and effort. Overall and so far, this is a peaceful, non-violence and enthusiastic movement. Communities and institutions empathy and good will can help maintain civility to advance the common and greater good and well being of people, communities as well as societies.
