The petitioners below are asking Stop and Shop to end their relationship with Shell, in selling gas at their gas stations.

I am shocked to see this company hooking up with Shell for gas. Shell is responsable for many spills they refuse to clean up and are now looking to drill in the artic. Not only will they not take responsabililty for a spill but they will destroy the habitat and the endangered species living there, all in the name of money.

Stop and Shop is owned by Ahold a company based in The Netherlands. As stated on their website:

.Our ambition is to reduce our environmental footprint. We are working to reduce the environmental impact of our own operations. Reducing our energy consumption and refrigerant leakage enables us to lower our carbon footprint and reduce our operating costs. We are also looking at ways to reduce waste and improve our waste management processes, which together reduce our environmental footprint. This can also save costs and – through recycling – generate revenue.

Stop and Shop is a giagantic grocery store serving New  England and has always shown a respect for people in their empoyment and their customers and to start doing business with Shell goes against their good standing.

Shell continues the drilling.

Big company partnerships like this need to be stopped in the name of the planet and it's habitat.
