In my small town of Waterville, WA, farming wheat is not just what we do for a living, it's a way of life. It's how we feed our families. And when big pesticide and chemical companies come in and plant these experimental crops, they are not concerned about my family; they are concerned about their bottom line.

Last week unapproved genetically engineered wheat was found contaminating an Oregon farmer’s fields. If this uncontrolled open-air testing of non-FDA approved wheat happened there, it can happen anywhere and farmers like me could face serious financial harm as a result of this failed experiment with genetically engineered wheat.

Our overseas customers have clearly stated that they do not want GE wheat, and I can't gamble my family's livelihood if wheat exports are barred or shipments are halted because of possible contamination. Today, Washington wheat farmers joined Kansas wheat farmers in filing a class-action lawsuit against Monsanto for their irresponsible practices.

Will you stand with me, my family, my neighbors and my fellow farmers? We need to know that you have our backs. Sign the petition to stand with wheat farmers against Monsanto’s testing practices.

In solidarity,

Joe Ludeman Waterville, WA

We’ve got our farmers backs. I am standing with wheat farmers against Monsanto’s testing practices. They are putting their bottom line ahead of our farming families and their irresponsibility is putting our wheat farmers at risk right now. Tell our wheat farmers we’ve got their back against Monsanto’s testing practices.

Yes , supporting all the Washington and Kansas wheat farmers in taking a stand against Monsanto, a clear and present danger to the earth. The Monsanto practices threaten not only farmers, but the ecosystem(birds, butterflies, bees to name a few) and the quality of life in general.

Kudos to these brave farmers, all of us are tired of Monsanto and their shit.

I am going into Dietetics and believe in a full aspect of health and wellness. We do not know the effects of GMOs currently for a start, and the effect it can have on our bodies. All people have the right to know at least and make the best most informed decision when it comes to food choice. If we choose to eat GMOs then it should be something we do so knowingly, not secret. Also, in this industry Monsanto has taken a position to eliminate most of the competition and do not agree with that idea at all!
