My Mother Passed away on March 14th 2013 after a short and unexpected battle with Lung Cancer, she walked into the hospital on February 15th 2013 and deteriorated very quickly and by March 14th 2013. I was saying my last goodbyes.

My Mother was loved by everyone she met she was kind, caring, enthusiastic, and loved to laugh. Most of you know her as either Pat the supervisor at Rio/Jensen Skate Park for the last ten years who Loved all of her skaters and Just about (with help from a few skate parents and the Rio Civic club) single highhandedly organized the Skate Comp to help raise money to improve the skate park so the kids have a safe environment to go without having to worry about the stress and everyday pressures of drugs, Violence, or any other struggles that youth go through on a day to day basis. as HellBorns mom from Roller Derby Cheering loudly and using her noise maker every time I took the track and every time My team scored. There are a few of you who had the pleasure of Knowing her from when I was a child and even some have known her since she was a child.

She loved all of the kids that came to the park like they were her own , she spent hours with them every day from the day the park opened until her last days when she went into the hospital, She would share her food with them when they were hungry and her drinks with them when they were thirsty, She was a shoulder to cry on, and an eat to listen when the kids had a bad day or even if they just wanted to chit chat, she was there.
She knew each child's potential from the most well behaved skater to the trouble making hoodlums, those children were her life and she loved them and they loved her back very much.

This petition is to memorialize Patricia (my mother) in a way that would mean so much to herself and the skating community, To name the skate park she loved and that loved her back after her, or at the least to put a plaque in the park to memorialize the women that worked the park 6 days a week since the day it opened for the last ten years.
This petition was started by the Rio Civic club and the Skateboarders in the community. In June right after school ends we will be handing it over to the board of county commissioners at a local meeting for them to look it over and make their decision we invite everyone to come to that meeting and show their support.

Please sign this petition to help memorialize my mothers contribution to martin county and so many life's she touched and so many people she loved.

Because Pat Mark was Rio! She was the mother to all our little skaters and cared more about maintaining that park and keeping it a safe place for our kids to skate
