No Pussies No Games: Boycott / Demonstrate at The Russian Winter Olympics

    1. Petition by

      TransAction ConVergence TWO

Two members of Pussy Riot, Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova are serving two-year prison sentences for "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred," the court recently banned the Cathedral punk prayer which the prosecution used as evidence.
The court also disallowed the freed Pussy Riot member Yekaterina Samutsevich from testifying and authorized fining websites that host it.
The Russian goverment under President Putin by taking these actions has just placed the first brick back into the wall.
This combined with Putin's encouragement of violent anti LGBT gangs and outrageous laws banning our peoples from gathering or speaking is intolerable. The Olympics are a highly visible event and being on Russian soil, no better place than that to show our outrage or not show up at all.

To:
World's Peoples
We the undersigned ask the worlds peoples to show solidarity with Pussy Riot, by boycotting or demonstrating at the games unless the unlikely event the two remaining members incarcerated are freed beforehand. Balaclavas for everyone!

Sincerely,
[Your name]

    1. US and UK Leaders Reject Call to Boycott Sochi while thousands protest

It should come as no surprise that both President Obama and now David Cameron, British Prime Minister, have let it be known that while they sympathise with the unrelenting brutal persecution of Russia's LGBT community they are against a boycott of the Russian winter Olympics.

That is exactly why "No Pussies No Games" is petitioning the worlds peoples. We support both a worldwide boycott AND protests at the Sochi Olympics. Politicians are more concerned with the number of medals athletes win, not human rights. The Olympic committee is more concerned with the high fees it receives and a continuation of the games than human rights.

    2. Maria Alyokhina denied parole again

No parole for Pussy Riot woman

Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina has lost a new bid for parole from her two-year prison sentence in Russia. She had appealed to a regional court in Perm, in the Ural Mountains, after a district court denied the request.

Boycott Putin's Russian Winter Olympics #FreePussyRiot Balaclavas for everyone

      planetransgender

The growing parallels between Hitler and Putin's charade duping world leaders, who are all to willing to pretend there was nothing so wrong with Nazism or Putin's Anti LGBT laws that a Boycott of the Olympics would have been necessary, is well, mind boggling.

    5. Putin is crushing Opposing Views and Russia's LGBT Communities

Now that Putin has signed the "Gay Propaganda" law and it's companion law criminalizing offending the Orthodox Church, how could people of conscious participate in the Russian 2014 Olympics?

Pussy Riot's artists persecuted during a trial mocking the Russian judicial system were made examples of by Putin for trying to open their comrades minds to consider what is happening in their country.

Its time to make this know, Russia and the world will not quietly acquiescent to Putin's tyranny.

    7. Russia's anti-Putin detainees fight for justice

While Pussy Riot's plight retains the media's focus the common Russian is also suffering Putin's dictatorial tactics.

Eighteen of the hundreds of protesters detained for marching on the Eve of Putin's second presidency were later arrested.

They were charged with assaulting police and participating in mass riots. Almost all of them appear to be rank-and-file activists or ordinary protesters.

"It is as if they were deliberately selected to represent different walks of life," a girlfriend of one of the captives told the BBC.

They include students, scientists, a travel agent, a journalist, an electrician and even an ex-marine, who marched in front of Mr Putin during a Red Square parade just a year before.

Civilization appears to be crumbling with the political assistance of one of the largest countries on the planet, Russia. This is too important and issue to brush aside. Liberty is required for advancement of the human family, not ignorant and hateful fascism!

Protest and political art is essential. States either respect this or expect to be attacked.
