YouTube is a useful and valuable tool that remains untapped in NYC classrooms. With access, teachers would be able to pull dynamic and engaging videos into their lessons. Furthermore, as the number of special needs children rise in our schools, so does the need for more diverse entry points to content. Simply put, YouTube would make teachers more effective.

Why should teachers have restricted access to free services that would enhance the classroom experience? Schools invest large amounts of money into technology that makes it possible for students to learn with the use of electronic resources; let this technology be used to its fullest potential!

I'm a student. I only want teachers to have access because in case we don't have to do work or anything, we can be given privileges to use the laptops AND watch some funny videos.

My physics teacher and economics teacher frequently used reputable YouTube channels to help with the classroom experience. My school system even signed on with YouTube Educational to allow anyone on campus to access appropriate YouTube videos.

In New Jersey, teachers and students are able to use YouTube as a resource, and it advances the education of the students, and makes teaching easier for the teachers.
