Stop the tear-down and redevelopment of The Book House - the St. Louis area does NOT need another storage facility. This is an historic home and should be preserved, not demolished. The Book House itself is a St. Louis institution and should likewise be promoted and celebrated, not marginalized for the benefit an out-of-state for-profit corporation.

Sincerely,

I LOVE the book house. I remember going to the Harry Potter book premiers as a child. This place is magical, it really is. I would be devastated if it was torn down.

this house is very special to me. in addition to the bookhouse, it was my family's home in 1965. I have pictures of my brother and myself playing in the front yard., my bedroom was upstairs- right hand window

What shortsightedness to replace a (rarity) 30 year historically important [bookstore] with a storage facility...someone's making a profit here and it ain't the public!

Demolish a book store that is an civic institution, in a historic house, for a self-storage facility?

      Where are the priorities here?

      What are this community's values?

We don't have so many beautiful places and wonderful businesses that we can afford to destroy one. Please don't.
