Teach For America is growing the movement of leaders who work to ensure that kids growing up in poverty get an excellent education. To do this, we recruit and select committed recent college graduates and professionals of all backgrounds to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools across the country. We train and develop these corps members so that they have an immediate positive impact on their students. After corps members complete their two years in the corps, we foster their leadership as alumni as they strive to expand educational opportunity from all sectors. This year, more than 10,000 corps members are teaching 750,000 students in 46 low-income communities across the country. Together, with 28,000 alumni, they are helping to lead an educational revolution.
