Great news: our Honourable Minister of Health Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has made South Africa a safer place for babies by banning the use of BPA in baby bottles!
Congratulations Dr Motsoaledi on taking this bold and decisive step against the insidious dangers of this hormone-disrupting chemical.
As of Friday 28 October 2011, it became illegal to import, export, distribute or sell any baby bottle that contains BPA in the Republic of South Africa.
Thank you to all you who registered your concern by signing our petition.
You too have contributed to bringing a BPA-free future a little closer for all of us. Well done!
