IOC to Enact Anti-Doping Reform

The Russian doping scandal and the suspension of the Russian national team from the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang showed the scale of the doping usage problem in elite sports. At the same time, the current situation testifies to the deep system crisis and inefficiency of sports bureaucratic authorities. Actions taken by the IOC and WADA threaten the existence of the whole Olympic movement as the mechanism of international integration that unites nations and makes the World better. The sports officials set a dangerous precedent making clear that any athlete and national team could be suspended from taking part in competitions and deprived of rewards on the basis of indirect proofs. We, the undersigned, feel certain that the Olympic movement and fair-play spirit of the Olympic Games should be saved by the following urgent measures: 1. Abolish the practice of confessing the guilt of athletes just relying on the testimony of a witness and recognize the Russian athletes precedent as the civil and criminal law violation.2. Carry out an independent technical expertise of the anti-doping bottles to find out whether the scratch marks have been left on these bottles in a result of unauthorized opening or just represent the technical feature of the product.3. Create the independent anti-doping institute instead of WADA which have demonstrated its inability to fight against doping; to ensure the presence of as many nations as possible in the new organization. 4. Increase the number of in-competition and out-of-competition anti-doping tests; to ban athletes from competitions if they require temporary or permanent usage of prohibited substances according to their Therapeutic Use Exemptions.

(Boycott PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, A Dog Eating Nation!)

Boycott PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, A Dog Eating Nation! This is our Portuguese Petition for Petition "Boycott PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, A Dog Eating Nation!" Petição dirigida ao Presidente do Comité Olímpico Internacional, Thomas Bach, e ao Presidente dos Jogos Olímpicos de Inverno PyeongChang 2018, da Coreia do Sul, Yang-Ho Cho. Vimos pedir a vossa atenção para o seguinte vídeo: http://youtu.be/3uR8R8Mu70Q A Coreia do Sul é a décima quarta maior economia do mundo. Cyclocross in the list of Olympic Winter Sports

We want to ask that Cyclocross can be included on the list of sports participants in the Olympic Winter Games.Cyclocross is a purely winter sport, practiced since several years by cyclists from all world (surely in all countries where many sports of winter olympics games are practiced). Rain, mud, cold, ice and snow, don't stop cross riders.World championships are organized since 1950 and followed by many fans. There is also a World Cup, where the best athletes compete during the winter season, this to demonstrate the maturity and organizational concreteness of the sport. It's an intercontinental sport, practiced by thousands of professional cyclists, amateurs and young athletes.Nothing to envy to many other winter sports, new and old. In recent years, interest has grown more in this sport, as evidenced even by the enlargement of the offer to cyclists by bike's manufacturers regarding cyclocross products. The Olympic race can be performed without problems even on a circuit covered by snow, exactly like a cross-country skiing race (maybe even in the same place). to be in line of philosophy of the other Olympic sports on snow and ice.And if it's hotter than expected, you can save money on artificial snow, cross-riders can ride the bikes in muddy melting snow... As the road cycling, track and mountain bike are already included in summer games, even the winter version of cycling deserves to be celebrated under the Olympic flame, as many champions of this sport deserve to have the opportunity to wear a medal.Cyclocross has all the necessary requirements to be Olympic game! With this petition we want demonstrate the high approval rating which can produce the inclusion of cyclocross in the Winter Olympics. To see realized our dream, to see a cyclocross olympic champion. #crossolympic

Get the WDSF's Hands Off Hip-Hop

To: International Olympic Committee (IOC) At a meeting of the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee (BAYOGOC) in September, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) attempted to exploit breaking as a Trojan horse to get its foot in the door of the Olympics—something that it has been desperately struggling to do for over two decades. The WDSF is a competitive ballroom dance organization. It has absolutely no connection or credibility with any legitimate entity in the worldwide breaking community.  That the BAYOGOC and the IOC have allowed these impostors to oversee breaking at the Youth Olympics is a travesty and a scandal. Would the IOC allow the Badminton World Federation to oversee baseball? Would it allow the Federation for Equestrian Sports to oversee auto-racing? Why would the Olympics accept such a polar opposite and illegitimate entity as the WDSF to have anything to do with breaking? This action is immoral, illogical, and insulting to the hundreds of thousands of b-boys and b-girls worldwide who live and breathe this culture. Breaking is a dance that has uplifted the lives of countless young people around the world for over 40 years. Born out of the marginalized communities of urban New York in the 1970’s, it has changed the way dance is done and is a core element of hip-hop culture. It has absolutely nothing to do with the antiquated officials at the WDSF or the competitive ballroom dance industry. We demand that you immediately expel the WDSF from the Association of the IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) for this transgression and bar them categorically from having anything to do with breaking at the Olympic games. Anything short of this will be interpreted as the IOC’s complicity in exploiting breaking for its own gain and handing control over its art form to the illegitimate officials at the WDSF. For the sake of the Olympic Movement and the integrity of athletics and dance worldwide, we truly hope you will heed our call.

For cyclocross to become an Olympic sport
