Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa Florida 2020 Petition / Advocates For Safety and Peace ..
The Issue
January 10th, 2020 ..
My name is Damian Stone, and I, (as well as those others who have signed this petition), contend that we have an extremely important issue which requires consideration, scrutiny and rectification. The primary reason that I have chosen to present the scenario to you is certainly not for the assignation of blame or admonishment upon you, but rather; for each of you to exercise your positions of authority in order to address the situation accordingly.
We the undersigned are extremely taken aback; devastated, and indeed; quite livid regarding the ongoing and pervasive blatant and overt disregard of adhering to adequate safety measures on the part of many drivers who travel on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa Florida.
Recently there have been at least three fatalities of pedestrians who were simply attempting to live their lives in peace, and harmony, and with an expectation of safety and security.
On May 31st, 2018, Jessica Raubenolt, a twenty four year old woman, and her one year old daughter Lillia were killed by a vehicle driven by a maniacal driver traveling at well over one hundred miles per hour.
On January 09th, 2020, George Gage, a seventy year old man was killed, also by a driver negligent of any semblance of consideration or safety.
Please act upon the authority which has been bestowed upon you in your position and address this vitally important issue accordingly.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Damian Stone, and the undersigned.
Please note .. although this petition is intended to be directed towards Mayor of the City of Tampa, Jane Castor; Chief of the Tampa Police Department, Brian Dugan, and Sheriff of Hillsborough County Florida, Chad Chronister; we most certainly do not do so for the assignation of blame or admonishment upon you, but rather; for each of you to exercise your positions of authority in order to address the situation accordingly.
Also, we have not determined what official jurisdiction each of you have upon the specific location of Bayshore Boulevard, however, whatever that may be, we beseech you to take a stand up this vitally important and ongoing issue.
Thank you,
Damian Stone.
