Mission
WCF, founded in 1974, is a non-partisan national network dedicated to achieving parity for women in public office. As political venture capitalists, we work to advance women leaders at all levels of political participation and empower individuals to stand up for issues of critical importance to the health of the nation, including reproductive health.
Programs
She Should Run - Building the pipelines of women running for office. She Should Run provides the opportunity for talented pro-choice women to be nominated to run for public office. We then give them the encouragement, information and connections they need.
Candidate Endorsements - WCF endorses qualified pro-choice women candidates running for all levels of office, nationwide. WCF supports our endorsed candidates in a variety of ways, including promotion on our website, in our newsletters, and in other communication to our members.
Semester Fellowships - Providing young women and men the opportunity to gain firsthand experience within a national political organization.
Next Generation - This program offers an opportunity for young women students and professionals between the ages of 21-35 to attend WCF events through donor sponsorship.
History
WCF was founded in 1974 as the Women's Campaign Fund, a Political Action Committee. We recently reorganized to be a 501c(4), 501c(3), and PAC, now known as the Women's Campaign Forum.
The work of WCF is divided among three organizations:
*Women's Campaign Forum, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization working to advance the political participation of pro-choice women.
* WCF Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping women build the skills and infrastructure they need to become more effective leaders in public life.
* WCF PAC, a political action committee dedicated to electing pro-choice women candidates of all parties by providing them with the financial contributions and supplemental support they need to win.
