Meryl Streep: The women and children of Darfur need our help
A lot of people like to criticize celebrities for getting involved with social causes for PR purposes, but Angelina is clearly the real deal. She's been a passionate supporter of refugees and humanitarian assistance generally for the past decade, and dedicated as much time, money, and passion as any social activist. She's also been really effective at using her fame to shine the light on problems that many people like to overlook. As frustrating as the paparazzi might be, at least she's putting them to good work!

We have admired Angelina since the MOMENT she began her humanitarian work ~ it was CLEAR from the onset that she meant business. We'll save the kudos for her acting for another time....
I have ONE WISH, ANGELINA:
I want to go, ONCE, to one ( any ) of the places you go and help ( no pun intended) FIRST HAND. I understand and agree about not whining, and griping~ that most of us HAVE NO RIGHT, given the hell so many endure.
In the last 3 years we have lost 3 children: a daughter, 3; a son ; 19; and just last month another son, 26. All freak occurances- no illness, no warning... It is the BLINDSIDING and swift nature of genocide, premature violent death and loss, The utter LOSS OF ANY CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE'S PATH, and the ability to ENDURE the UNENDURABLE that makes refugees in Darfur, or anywhere, and survivors of catastrophic LOSS, HEROS.
I have to see them, touch them, bring them help and let them know WE ARE AWARE!
Do dreams /wishes ever come true.?
In my own agonized and tortured litttle world, I want this ONE thing.
Tell me HOW. PLEASE.
And thank you. JUST thank you.....I cannot possible list all you do and give....
