Exciting news from UNHCR and Microsoft.

Save the date: July 11th 2008

The UN Refugee Agency has partnered with Microsoft for the i’m Initiative, a program that allows users of Microsoft’s Windows Live™ Messenger or Windows Live Hotmail® to support their favorite cause every time they send a message!.

The I’m Initiative is free and easy to use and it’s a great way to support a charity you believe in!  Every time you use Windows Live™ Messenger or Windows Live Hotmail®, Microsoft will donate a portion of the program's advertising revenue to the organization of your choice.

Proudly, ninemillion.org, the UN Refugee Agency’s campaign to promote education and sport activities for the world’s nine million refugee children, was chosen to be of the ten organizations that are part of the initiative.

Now we are counting on you to sign up for this FREE program and designate ninemillion.org as your charity of choice.

This month Microsoft announced the i’m Talk-a-thon, a 30 day and 30 night chatting/blogging marathon run by Microsoft to encourage participation in the i’m Initiative and highlight the 10 different causes.

July 11th 2008 is the day for ninemillion.org, so sign up, chat, use email, and raise money at the same time.   Please join other supporters in spreading the word and supporting the UN Refugee Agency and the ninemillion.org campaign!

(Please note, as long as you designate ninemillion.org  as your charity of choice, the cause will receive money every time you chat or send emails.  July 11th is a day dedicated specifically to ninemillion.org by the organizers of the event, but you can give on any day.)

Join the I’m initiative now. http://im.live.com/Messenger/IM/Join/Default.aspx
