With a compassionate and hard-working staff! Their mission is so important.

  3. Kendra Kellogg UCP is a wonderful organization!

UCP helps thousand upon thousands of people.  They see a life without limits for everyone and their outreach and advocacy is limitless.  This is one organization that covers a wide scope of disabilities.  I have had the pleasure of working with them on autism issues, and I write this testiment to their dedication from the bottom of my heart.  This is an impressive organization that should be supported by all those behind health, disability awareness, and the right to achieve dreams for all.

  5. Will Hull Why I support United Cerebral Palsy

I am a supporter of people with disabilities because they are a truly under-represented community that most forget or don't think about as a population with needs, desires and people with something to say.

I work with United Cerebral Palsy at their National office in Washington, DC.  Since working here, since November of 2007, I have grown in many ways.

I had no idea how much people with disabilities face on a daily basis that we all take for granted; such as simply opening a door, some door knobs require a grip and for someone with cerebral palsy affecting their hands, this becomes a challenge, for direct support professionals to remain on the job, they need adequate pay, that is why I support HR 1279.

The unfunded mandate of the Americans with Disabilities Act has worked since becoming law in the 90's but it has some unintended consequences that need to be dealt with such as the choice of interpretation when someone with a disability can make when seeing a doctor and the doctor has to pay for it leaving them, often times, losing money on the deal while they have to treat the patient under the law.  There are a lot of other reasons why I support people with disabilities.

Instead of simply staring like so many do, creating an awkward situation, I am doing something about it.

    Thanks.
