As part of their Earth Month promotion, Wal*Mart released a new line of sustainable coffees this April 4th which includes: Sam’s Choice® Fair Trade Certified House Blend, Sam’s Choice® Fair Trade Certified Espresso and Sam’s Choice® Fair Trade Certified French Roast, which are now available at all 3500 Supercenter locations. All 4800 Wal*Mart stores will carry these coffees by the end of the month. Tully's launches new ecotainer at over 400 locations by Sustainable Food News September 19, 2007 Tully's Coffee Corporation said Wednesday it is the first major coffee retailer to adopt the ecotainer, a fully renewable and compostable paper cup for its hot beverages. The Seattle-based coffee roaster supplies over 400 company-operated and franchised retail stores in Washington, California, Idaho, Arizona and Japan. Separately, Tully's said all of its espresso drinks now will be made with 100 percent fair trade and organic ingredients. The Fair Trade Brattleboro Resolution was approved at the Selectboard Meeting this evening, making Brattleboro, Vermont the First Fair Trade Town in New England & the second in the nation! We are thrilled to announce that the majority of the Brattleboro Selectboard voted to support the Resolution, a proclamation developed by the Brattleboro Fair Trade Steering Committee. This fulfills the final criteria for officially becoming a Fair Trade Town, set forth by the UK Fairtrade Federation.
