The Water Project

Mission

Bringing clean water to those who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water in under developed nations...with your help!

Programs

Kenya:
Water projects including sand dams, rain catchment systems, water storage tanks and wells.  We're focused on removing obstacles in communities that prevent them from developing on their own.

Cameroon:
We're helping install biosand filtration systems in homes in rural communities who currently suffer from a variety of water borne diseases.  These filters help dramatically improve health, breaking the cycle of poverty.

Zambia:
Funding well repair programs to rehab broken down wells.  These programs are very cost effective and return clean, safe water to hundreds of people in each community.

India:
We're funding shallow wells and other water projects in small and medium sized communities.

History

How we got started:

We heard first-hand from our partners in the field about the devastating effect the lack of clean drinking water can have in a community. We began "The Water Project" to raise money and awareness to construct water wells and rain water collection and filtration systems in these communities.

The Water Project, to date, has helped over 31,000 people improve their access to clean water.

All of us have experienced the impact a few voices can have. We know that every effort and contribution matters. That's why we continue to tell others, so that they might do the same.
