General Fund
T4T Colorado was started ten years ago by IBM, Mile High United Way and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). The program initially operated out of Mile High United Way under the name Teaming for Technology Denver. Several years ago, we applied and were granted staff positions through CNCS for positions in Boulder and Colorado Springs, and became Teaming for Technology Colorado.
The Colorado Springs location, especially, has had a tremendous impact in the Colorado nonprofit community.
Sadly, T4T is losing one of the major partners that make us a sustaining force in our community. On July 14, 2007, our contract with CNCS will reach its conclusion. Without the Americorps volunteers CNCS has provided, T4T will be unable to provide the current level of service to continue the great work we provide to our nonprofit community.
T4T is researching alternative staffing options, including the support to fund a position to serve Colorado Springs. Further, we're actively seeking partnerships and any other opportunities to avoid the shutdown of the T4T program in Colorado Springs.
