Pocket Change to World Change
On June 13th, St. Vincent de Paul will kick off a coin drive with exciting ways for everyone to join in on this summer challenge.
In the next few days, we will post links to fun resources that will assist you in your coin collecting endeavors (ex. jar labels, bake sale signs, chore calendars and run-a-thon charts).
By donating through this page, you will be contributing to our virtual change jar, and for this, we sincerely thank you! To give you an idea of what your virtual coins can do, consider a gift of:
$12.00 (1,200 pennies) to purchase 100 lbs. of food
$27.00 (270 dimes) to provide 3 hot meals a day for a week
$43.00 (172 quarters) to provide a bed for one night
$104.00 (a jar full of 372 quarters, 58 dimes, 73 nickels and 155 pennies) to pay for a patient visit to the medical clinic
Feel free to not only donate, but to start your own fundraising page (click on the link on the top right side of this page). Friends and family will be fascinated by this project, and will appreciate your efforts to help a good cause.

The encouragement Mr. Obama gives graduates to serve the poor in their community, through volunteering, leadership, and the use of their new skills, is worth hearing.
