Provide the Tools They Need to Go Back to Work
The Opportunity Program at St. Vincent de Paul offers mentoring, job development like resumes and role plays of interviews, on site training, and case management to job seekers hoping to go back to work or to find a better job. Our goal is to make families more sustainable by helping them increase their income as well as reduce their expenses. We offer financial literacy classes, access to community resources, and help with food, transportation, and child care while participants are in the program.
Ideas for Fundraising Projects
* You and your class, church, or company can work together to raise $100, which is usually enough to buy tools, a replacement ID, and any other items needed for one job program participant.
* $500 can help five people succeed in this program.
