$12 Provides 100 Pounds of Food for Needy Families!
Our Food Processing Center. Thanks to generous contributions of food from Arizona grocery stores, businesses, schools and individuals, we receive an average of 34,000 pounds of nonperishable food per day. Employees and volunteers process the donations in our warehouse for distribution to St. Vincent de Paul neighborhood chapters located throughout Arizona. Last year, we provided the equivalent of 500,000 food boxes, each box with enough food for several family meals.
Ideas for Fundraising Projects
The cost of running our food processing center is 12 cents per pound of food. Thus each $12 donation covers 100 pounds of food (about five food boxes) that will be given to needy families. Your group can seek donations in $12 increments to help literally thousands of families.
