Vote for Independence and Services for Disabilities and Autism

The Hawkeye Ranch would love for you to vote for the "Independence and Services for Disabilities and Autism" proposal for the Change.org Ideas for America program. This proposal will create new jobs openings in the autism service field as well as help those with autism live full thriving lives.

Text of the proposal:
"In our county, we all should have the chance for independence and success. That includes the millions of individuals with disabilities and developmental disabilities. The Obama administration can:
Implement the Americans with Disabilities Restorations Act which affirms our country’s belief in non-discrimination in employment and strengthens diversity in the workforce.
Allow those with Autism to live thriving lives by satisfying the plan laid out in the Expanding the Promise for Individuals with Autism Act of 2007, which offers critical intervention services to millions of individuals.
End the waitlists for developmental disabilities by funding the Medicaid Waiver program and thus increasing service provider employment positions.
Pass the CLASS Act (Community Living Assistance Services and Supports) to maximize disability independence and choice about community participation, education, and employment."
