Change a village. Change the world.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
Help us bring light and hope to Haiti! Just $100 will provide enough solar cells to light up a room in the health clinic for the next 25 years. Health workers need a bright light to help them examine sick patients. But in rural Haiti, there's no electricity to power the clinic. Partners In Health needs solar cells to provide the energy -- just $300 will ensure enough solar cells to operate the examination light for 25 years or more. One of the most important roles of rural health clinics is to vaccinate children. But vaccines must be kept cold until they are used, or they lose effectiveness. For just $600, you can ensure the clinic has the solar panels it needs to power the vaccine refrigerator for at least the next 25 years. SELF is powering health clinics in remote parts of Haiti in partnership with Dr. Paul Farmer and Partners In Health. The health clinics, vital to fighting tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, need electricity to run their lab equipment. $800 will provide enough solar cells to power the centrifuge, a necessary tool for bloodwork, for more than 20 years. The new Partners In Health clinic needs a computer database for the complex record-keeping required to successfully fight HIV/AIDS. But it takes electricity, and the clinic is in a remote area. For just $1,500 you can provide the solar panels to power these computers with clean, renewable energy for 25 years or more.
Please help me support Solar Electric Light Fund by making a donation. It's fast, easy, and secure. Because of people like YOU, SELF will be able to help people in the developing world drink clean water, feed their families, vaccinate their children, light their homes, improve their education and create new jobs. All with clean, renewable energy! Together we are fighting climate change AND ending poverty – and we appreciate you more than you know.
Thanks so much for your support - and please don't forget to forward this page to any friends you think might be interested.

Wish I could give more to what sounds like a great cause, but this is all I've got available for now.

This is such an important issue to me, to so many now and in the future, and I know it is to you, too. Together we can accomplish so much.
