Greetings, Save The Orcas supporters!   2008 was not a good year for the Southern Resident orca pods, as their population decreased to 83, but we are counting on YOU to help improve things in 2009.   Save The Orcas, Inc. has big plans for upcoming projects that that will promote awareness of the hardships faced by the Southern Residents and other endangered marine mammals worldwide, but before we can progress with this year's work, we must launch our fundraising campaign to secure the money for our 2009 Operating Fund. Once we know that our basic operating costs will be met, we can concentrate on budgeting for special educational projects and programs. Happy mid-spring, everybody!   Thanks to the help of our supporters, Save The Orcas' March/April recruitment drive was a huge success!
