About Diane

For the past 23 years I've worked with homeless families/adults. I ran shelters in Joliet and Aurora, IL. I became involved in systemic advocacy and have worked to change laws affecting homeless voters' rights, homeless students' educational rights, and to remove barriers homeless youth encounter trying to go to college.

My current project, HEAR US Inc., gives voice and visibility to homeless children and youth. We filmed and produced "My Own Four Walls," a series of short documentaries featuring kids talking about their homelessness and the importance of schools.
