We are pleased to share with our Change.org supporters, that with the help of your support, Downtown Ellensburg ended 2008 with a net increase of 13 new downtown businesses and at least two of our downtown retailers reported that this was their best year ever!

Our Brown Bag Business Basics small business education program received a Washington State Excellence in Downtown Revitalization award, and we made great strides in working with the City to address the complex code compliance issues that often hinder adaptive reuse of downtown’s historic buildings.

We also successfully funded our first 2 change.org supported projects. The installation of two functional art bike racks, (two more have just been funded and will be installed in May 2009 during national bike to work month) and production of a kids art calendar featuring children’s drawings of Downtown’s important historic buildings.

Thanks to supporters like you it’s been a good year for Downtown Ellensburg and we'll be working hard to make 2009 an equally great year and appreciate your support. please invite your friends to join our efforts.

Hiya,

Happy New Year. Thanx for the efforts, friend, your work here is impressive. An injustice to any is an injustice to all, "we, the people...", can't allow it :)   For e.g., the fundamental thing taught by Jesus was destruction and murder are of no profit or pleasure, something almost all supposed Christians are anti-thetically opposed to, as is your gov't; and a gleaning from Native American teaching, et al, all life are needed threads in the fabric of life. Put your shadow behind you, give the gift that keeps on giving, a hand to a sister and/or brother :) The more art is given, the more it is, as is life. Very cool site, I like it, even though I've only been on it for a couple days, and, unlike many others that are similar, this one's 'buzz' seems to be keeping it growing; which is necessary. A twig of poetree :)

Please support my cause.
"Stop The Live Skinning OF Animals Everywhere"
This cause is one that can only be tackled by the highest office because it will require international participation.
This new President may have the ability to sway international opinion on this, it may be our only chance for an international bill of rights for animals.
Many animals issues that I emphasize with, can be tackled on local and state levels. However this international highly barbaric animal abuse issue can only be tackled from the top Presidential level. It will require international efforts similar environmental issues. It will require Fashion Industry participation and regulations on international import/export trade.
Only a President can act on this to affect real change.
That is why I urge you to support this cause. If we can win here we can affect the lives of animals in other areas as well.

We must not let this cause fall off the of the top three since that will knock my cause out of the running. Thanks!

Hi Manuela
I was wondering if you can help get the word out about a special issue regarding horses. I love my horses, like I love my dogs and cats, but right now thousands of horses are being shipped across the boarder to Mexico and Canada to be slaughtered in the most barbaric way (stabbed with knives). We recently had the slaughterhouses in the US closed down, but now we must stop them from exporting them. Please help get the word out so we can put an end to this once and for all. Thanks.
